Hey! If this is your first visit to TheBestOfEmail.com then welcome! I’m stoked (that’s Aussie for “really excited”) that you’ve stopped by. I hope you enjoy poking around, although you may notice that the blog itself has been inactive for a while. So the rest of this post is actually dedicated to those of my followers who have already been here before (feel free to keep reading though).

If you are in fact one of my really intelligent and good-looking followers who has been here before, then you’ve most likely noticed that this blog has been a bit of a ghost town lately and it occurred to me that you might be wondering where I’ve disappeared to over the past year or so.

So…

I want to reassure you that I have NOT been kidnapped by aliens, or gone off to join a remote cult of weirdos whose sole mission in life is to find the very first all-natural blue food item ever (although the thought did cross my mind).

The embarrassing truth is that almost immediately after launching this gorgeous blog, I suddenly got deathly busy, and what started out as a temporary neglect, stretched into months, and then more months, followed by even more months.

It actually saddens me. I’ve even lost sleep over it (among other things. I’m a shocking insomniac).

But just as a gazelle yearns for wide open plains, and a chicken yearns to get to the other side of the road, and we all yearn for the next season of Game of Thrones to return whenever they’re on hiatus, so do I yearn to return – properly – to TheBestOfEmail.com.

I have lots to say. I just need to apply a bit of ‘hocus pocus’ to my current blogging schedule (I’m also managing Viola Notes at the moment) so that I can be in two places at once (I’m working on it, truly).

But the point is – in case you were wondering – that this blog is very much on my mind even despite my absence. If you weren’t wondering, then the approx. 43 seconds that you’ve spent reading up to this point have probably been a total waste of your time (although to be fair, the title of this post is “Where am I?” so you must have wondered at least a little…)

Still, I’m nothing if not respectful of my readers’ time, so if you still feel cheated out of those 43 seconds, here’s a picture of a cute puppy to make up for it*:

Cute Puppies

* Statistics show** that 98.2% of people who glance at a picture of cute puppies even for a split second feel good for a full minute and a half afterwards!! So you see? Not a wasted read after all.

** I may have just made up that statistic about the puppies (although it totally sounds true) but I’m hoping that I’ve won you over with that photo just enough to forgive my unforgivable absence and welcome me back with open arms when I finally do return*** to The Best of Email (properly).

*** If you’re curious about when that might be, best sign up to my newsletter because I’ll most likely announce it via email.
